Class of the Week: Daring Fool

I will attempt to update Fantasy Grounds each week with a new class; either a standard or prestige class. When you next connect to the FG server, you'll receive this class and any other updates pending for your client software.

Since Wiscar Plumm has been such a huge part of the unravelling mystery the heroes find themselves in, I have decided that the Daring Fool prestige class will be the first installment for "Class of the Week".

Some heroes would argue that luck is more important than skill. A few might argue that skill isn't really important at all. The daring fool belongs to this latter breed: charming, easy going knaves who coast through life by the seat of their pants.

Pictured here is, of course, Jack Sparrow, who probably has several levels of Daring Fool. However, our friend Plumm has his own implementation.

Wiscar is admittedly a new addition to the ranks of the Daring Fool, and he certainly has his own take on the profession. While most are indeed charming rogues, with a certain style and grace, Wiscar has his own recipe of endearing charm and a land-on-your-feet luck.

Not suprisingly, most daring fools can be found aboard the vessels of the Sea Dogs, who regularly push Lady Luck to her limits.

Qualifying for a Daring Fool is rather steep. From an early "age", a person should know that this will be their career path. And in Plumm's case, he was certain from day one that the life of a blacksmith was not for him, as it was his fathers.

Plumm has only just begun to explore the Daring Fool abilities. He knows how to pour on his lost puppy charm and has an intimate knowledge of the local area (a class skill). And for all his bravado and luck in a fight, we all must wonder just what sort of training he's had - perhaps in the art of the bluff; a hallmark of the Daring Fool?
