Vaygirl's Drive-by Review
Okay, this is just going to be a quickie kind of review. We had a lot of combat last week so this will allow me to sum up what happened with less words, I hope!
The innkeeper at the Map Room let us know that Gabriella had many suitors, but one of them, Johnathan Flynn, gave her candy once that made her sick. We remember that Flynn had a woman in his observatory the night before she disappeared, one heard but not seen. Melinda and I go to check out Gabriella's house where we find only a smudged note on some dead flowers with the only legible letters: Reg. While there a man is found in the closet and we fight and chase him alternately. Finally he drops a reciept for Persistance Black's shop that shows the purchase of three pistols. He doesn't give a name or tell us who he's working for. He really wants the reciept back. We keep it and send him on his way. On the other side of town, Flynn tells Henri and Fiora that Gabriella was at his house but she left on her own to go for a walk through the High Downs. She declined an escort. That was the last he saw of her.
Our search for Pastor takes us to the Ivory Dice where we search his room. We find only and empty map case and a note that says "With so many courses, only one is taken." The innkeeper, who's spying on us and caught by Risso, tells us that if we really want information on the kidnapping we should go to St. Beda's Marsh in three hours. We decide to go to the Map Room to wait, hoping to check the writing on the note found in Pastor's room against any writing he may have done on the map that he donated. Sad Shannon agrees to keep Risso there and inebriated for a pound.
At St. Beda's we're ambushed by thieves, obviously the innkeeper set us up. We fight them off, killing all but the leader. Melinda is knocked out and Breck decides to take her to Sancha. Henri and Fiora are meanwhile going to go through town and try to get information about the disappearances.
